Terns
Terns are seabirds. They form a lineage with the gulls and skimmers which in turn is related to skuas and auks. Terns have a worldwide distribution.
Black Skimmer
The Skimmers are a small family of tern-like birds. The family comprises three species found in South Asia, Africa, and the Americas. They are tropical and subtropical species which lay 3-6 eggs on sandy beaches.
An Auk
An auk is a sea bird. Auks are superficially similar to penguins due to their black-and-white colours, their upright posture and some of their habits. Unlike penguins, modern auks can fly. They are good swimmers and divers. Due to their short wings, auks have to flap their wings very quickly in order to fly. Auks live on the open sea and only go ashore for breeding.
